 ELIZABETH & EDGEWOOD STUDIO

“Magic is just a way of looking at life with a sense of wonder.” – Doug Henning

And studio space with “a sense of wonder” is what Elizabeth & Edgewood provides for filmmakers, photographers, artists, and anyone looking for a set, stage, canvas, or backdrop to inspire them.

Elizabeth & Edgewood is Located in the middle of enchanting, nature-filled Inman Park, the first “suburban” enclave of Atlanta, a Victorian getaway in the middle of the city. The site was once untouched forest, then a huge stone house, then in 1932 it was a mini golf course. Yep. Then, in the 1940’s came post-war industrial buildings and uses.

Today, it is a fantastically aged urban oasis of offices, workshops, sheds, cement courtyards, vines, magnolias, plants, and at least one roofless warehouse. It includes peeling paint, rust, and charred wood. In short, it’s filled with wonder, patina, and potential…and for those with a vision, it’s the perfect film and photo studio.

Magic Show Tonight! the making of by Drew Perlmutter and Christian Wetzel.

THE BLAIR BUILDING

You're good. You're very good. – Sam Spade, The Maltese Falcon

No, this is not in Miami, nor is it in LA, it’s in Decatur, GA, just up the street from the Square. At 215 Church Street stands a stunning example of Streamline Moderne architecture and one of only two buildings of its kind in the city — The Blair Building, built in 1939 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

What does all this mean for you? Character, charm, cool-factor, plus a place that has interior spaces that are perfect for noir detective films; The Maltese Falcon wasn’t filmed here, but Bogart would have been right at home at The Blair. Anyway, the point is you don’t have to leave Georgia to “film” in Miami or LA, if you know what we mean.

Please join us if you’re looking for a pretty and pink place with lots of great angles and ample production office space that makes the whole process easy and convenient. Come check us out, kid.
